Protecting your access to Ex.Brain is the first step in keeping your team and business data secure. Ex.Brain uses password-free authentication to provide a seamless yet secure login experience. Whether you’re accessing from your personal device or logging in from a shared terminal, our One-Time Passcode (OTP) system ensures only authorized users get through.
Login Options in Ex.Brain #
Ex.Brain currently supports two secure login methods:
Google Sign-In (Recommended) #
- One-click sign-in with your Google Workspace or Gmail account.
- No OTP required — fast and secure.
Email + OTP (Default Method) #
- Enter your work or personal email.
- Receive a 6-digit One-Time Passcode in your inbox.
- Code is valid for 5 minutes.
Why we use OTP: It eliminates the risks of weak or reused passwords. Access is granted only if you have access to the inbox, increasing security for distributed and temporary teams.
How OTP Login Works #
- After entering your email, a 6-digit OTP is sent instantly to your inbox.
- Enter the code on the confirmation page.
- Once verified, you’re granted access to your dashboard.
Security Note:
If you enter the wrong OTP more than 3 times, your login will be temporarily locked for 3 minutes to protect against unauthorized attempts.
Stay Signed In: Session Handling #
When logging in via OTP, you’ll see an option:
- “Remember me” — Check this to stay signed in without entering a new code for two weeks.
- If left unchecked, you’ll be prompted to enter a new OTP every time you log in.
Security Benefits of OTP #
- Eliminates need for passwords (no weak password risk)
- Ensures that only someone with inbox access can enter your workspace
- Great for temporary users or distributed teams who don’t want long-term credentials
Why Ex.Brain Uses OTP Instead of Passwords #
- No risk of weak or stolen passwords.
- No need to manage password resets.
- Ensures only users with verified email access can log in.
Session & Device Management (Coming Soon) #
You’ll soon be able to:
- View all devices currently logged into your Ex.Brain account.
- Manually sign out from specific sessions or old browsers.
- Enable auto-logout after periods of inactivity.
Need to Reset Access? #
If your email changes due to:
- Domain updates (e.g., you switched companies),
- Job title or role promotions,
- Or organizational restructuring…
Please contact your team Admin or Ex.Brain Support. After identity verification, we’ll securely migrate your account to the new email.
Pro Tip:
To improve login speed, use Google Sign-In if your organization supports it.
