How to Add and Edit Sub-Brands

1 min read

Sub-Brands are the second layer in your company’s Brand Hierarchy—directly below the Primary Brand. They’re ideal for large organizations that operate across multiple business units, geographic regions, or corporate entities. Whether you’re managing hotel chains, senior living communities, dealership networks, or distinct holding companies, Sub-Brands help structure your data, permissions, and teams in a clean, scalable way.

Each Sub-Brand has its own logo, description, and Workspaces, allowing you to maintain control and clarity across the organization.

How to Delete a Sub-Brand #

To safely delete a Sub-Brand:

  1. All of its Workspaces must first be deleted or reassigned
  2. If any Workspace within the Sub-Brand contains:
    • Linked Blocks
    • Assigned Employees
    • Active Access Roles

…you’ll see a warning message

You must resolve these dependencies before deletion is allowed.

Best Practices & Strategic Tips #

  • Use descriptive and recognizable names:
    Examples:
    • “Hilton Resort Operations – West”
    • “North America Sales Division”
    • “Eastern Refining Group – Chevron JV”

  • Upload distinct brand logos to visually differentiate Sub-Brands
  • Create one Sub-Brand per core unit:
    • For hotel groups → by property region or ownership entity
    • For M&A firms → by portfolio company
    • For airlines → by operations region or fleet business line
    • For dealerships → by auto brand or geography

🚫 Avoid duplicate names across Sub-Brands and Workspaces—it can cause confusion during reporting.

You’re All Set!

You’ve now structured your business with clarity and control. Sub-Brands serve as the foundation for organizing teams, permissions, and operational blocks within your growing organization.
